The Twelve Hundred is incredibly robust, with 12 drive bays, 7 expansion slots, and space for even the largest graphics cards. To keep the most demanding systems nice and cool, the Twelve Hundred boasts an unprecedented cooling system, with a top mounted 200mm blue LED fan, two rear blue LED 120mm fans, and three front blue LED 120mm fans to cool the HDD cages. Factor in convenient features like front mounted USB, eSATA, and HD audio ports, and the Twelve Hundred obliterates the competition.

5 out of 5 stars Superb Gaming Case   October 5, 2008

I spent a long time looking for a case which could hold my new GeForce GTX 280 graphics card and keep my rig running cool at the same time. This case fits the bill perfectly. It is very simple to install all the parts, with a great back plate behind the motherboard tray to keep all your excess wiring in place. It feature 3 fans in the front, 2 in the back and a HUGE one on the top, you also have the option of buying 2 extra for the sides. The design is very basic, but the blue LEDs on the front make it look that little more flash, and what it maybe lacks in style, it more than makes up for in efficientcy.

Overall, a superb, simple to assemble and reliable case which I would'nt hesitate in recommending to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars antec has shown that air cooling can be better that liquid cooling   February 19, 2009

this case is massive i had no problem fitting a three way sli nvidia GTX 295(and there big graphics cards) even sothere was plenty of room to spare.

antec have thought of everything and where a zalman Z-machine case you could see all your messy wiring(mine is pretty appauling)the antec 1200 you can hide all of it(it makes you look good).

i have to say the aircooling is great, with these six fans and a coolermaster hyper z600 heat sink can keep my intel quad core q9750 extreme which has been overclocked to 4Ghz at a cool 22C which is impressive
the cooling is even better than my old Zalman resivior V2 liquid cooling system(which kept it at around 26C)so i must say this is some good air cooling.
however it is fairly noisy but thats the same for any good air cooling system(espesially when there are six -BIG- fans working at once)
i will admit that the case isn't particually good looking but the LED fans and some added UV lights make it look awesome

i would recomend this to any one wants to add some big graphics cards and doesnt want a liquid cooled system because this fan system is just better

what a great case

I have built countless systems and this is the best case i have encountered to date.
It is a fantastic case with loads of room and great cooling ability.
You can also hide all the wiring behind the motherboard and backpanel which greatly improves the look and cooling properties of your system.
It is well worth the extra cash outlay.
i would rate this case as 100%

5 out of 5 stars The Best Air Cooled Case Money Can Buy   February 4, 2009

This case has so many good points id run out of space and time explaning them. The cooling although is perfect for high end users who want to keep thier kit at low temperatures. Unless you want water cooling, and air cooling is for you then so is the antec 1200 truly making it the 'ultimate Gaming Case'.

5 out of 5 stars Great Case!   March 2, 2010

I brought this case in an effort to get my computer to run cooler, with a hugh 220mm fan up top, I hoped this case would do the trick.

My cpu is now running on average a whole 10 degrees (c) cooler after fitting a corsair h50 cooler and using this case. This case is definately worth considering if you are looking to reduce your running temperatures, but can't quite afford water cooling. There are, however, two holes at the rear of the case to allow for tubing for water cooling should you wish to fit it at a later stage. The supplied case fans have 3 speed settings, when set at low the fans are audible, but not massively distracting. Set at high the fans are noticably louder, but bearable. One good thing about this case is that all fans sucking air into the case have a removable mesh insert to stop dust building up inside the case.

The only negative I can with this case is that I found the hard drive cages a little tricky to remove in order to install hard drives, and also the front covers (above the hard drive cages) were also particularly tricky to remove and install a dvd drive. However, all in all I think this is a great case, and thoroughly recommend it.
